I’m trying to have dinner with my son these days – even though it means I eat much earlier than normal.
Earlier this week, he showed no interest in the green beans on his plate. In fact, he scraped them off the plate onto his highchair tray table. I was talking to him about the food we are eating, and took a bite of green beans while making some yummy noises. He look down at his plate, and then moved his plate to find the green beans and try them again. Granted, he only ate a mouthful of two. But he wouldn’t have eaten even that without my example!
Talk about monkey see, monkey do! Oh, and no pressure. None at all.
:: Enjoying my son’s new-found love of swimming with his Daddy
:: Remembering the sweet hugs from my husband before he left on an extended business trip
:: Burning to my permanent memory the giggles and squeals of my toddler as he discovers the playground
:: Savoring the possibilities this week holds…
:: Preparing mentally for the new job I’ll start tomorrow
:: Enjoying the respite from brutal summer temperatures we experienced earlier this week
:: Savoring the very full freezer and the thought that, due to my Mom’s generosity, I will not have to cook at all this week.
::Thinking that silver linings are everywhere… and dark clouds have their own beauty
