Wonderful ordinary days. My boys have temporarily taken over the living room with their Christmas loot. Santa (aka family and friends) was very generous with them this year, and they have been playing nonstop.

We all have colds today, so we’re having a quiet day of building trains, Legos, and stacking cup towers. There are enough leftovers (and cranberry bliss bars) to last a while.

These ordinary days, spent doing nothing much, is where we thrive. I wipe noses, change diapers, feed baby, feed toddler. I know this day will be over all too soon. It will be a new year, and they will be one and three. And before I blink, it will be gone – these days of Legos, Curious George, and snuggling a sleepy babe who wants to nurse all day. Happy ordinary days to you friends.
