There are still peaches at the farmers’ market, but this week, there were also apples – small and tart.

Jack Jr. loves the market – all the attention his flirty ways get him and all the little tastes of food.   He’ll eat things off a toothpick he’d never try at home!  He picked out his own market basket, and now insists on filling it with fruit and veg.

We aren’t “regulars” yet – greeted by name, and orders filled amongst chatting about family and children away at college.  Maybe next summer?  Or maybe you have to have lived in our town a few more years.  Nonetheless, I’m going to miss this in a few months.
